• Key Advantage:They are pressurized and have more space for advanced ICU equipment and multiple medical staff. They can also fly in most weather conditions

These are primarily used for emergency "scene responses" or shorter distances.

• Aircraft Used: Bell 407, Eurocopter, or AgustaWestland.
• Best For: Reaching remote areas with no airports (like hilly terrains in Himachal or Uttarakhand), organ transport, or "Golden Hour" trauma cases.
  
• Key Advantage:Ability to land almost anywhere (hospital helipads, highways, or fields), eliminating the need for long ground ambulance transfers to an airport.

This is a more cost-effective alternative for stable patients on commercial airlines (like Indigo or Air India).

• How it works: A block of 6–9 seats is removed from a regular commercial flight to install a medical stretcher, separated by a curtain.
  
• Best For: Patients who are clinically stable but must remain lying down, and where the family is looking for a budget-friendly option.
  
• Note: This requires at least 48–72 hours for airline clearance and "Medif" form approvals.
